I am interested in the drivers of species extinction, particularly threats to biodiversity over and above to habitat loss such as emerging infectious diseases, global climate change and invasive species. My research currently focuses on the interaction of an emerging pathogen of amphibians, Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd), and climate change in determining species persistence both at global and local (i.e. protected area) scales. I plan to apply my research to improve ecological forecasting and biodiversity conservation planning and implementation.
